Hey guys, Rachael with Spunky Misfit Girl here today; I wanted to just do a quick one with you just to show you these cute coin envelopes that are matching my steampunk Alice themed printables, and they’re super cute little coin envelopes. There’s four of them all together and they make a great addition to the free steampunk Alice folio which you can get by signing up to my email list. You’ll find the link below in the description and there’s a
card themed one; it looks like this
and I’m gonna put the background paper in there, too, so that if you want
a background on yours, if you want to print so that that opening that’s up to you; I like to cover up all the white, but these are really not a big deal if you want to just leave it blank and then ink the edge, and they go together pretty simply and smoothly. This side and the side are the two long sides on the back, so you’re just gonna fold
right at that edge
this one’s got a little bit more dirtiness going on so I kind of like that one to be the top on this one because that’s how I am. I’m just gonna fold that bottom up and then this is just your top closure and that goes down like that. Aren’t these the super cutest?
So you’ve got the Mad Hatter, you’ve got Alice, and you’ve got the Cheshire Cat of course. Alice and the Cheshire Cat are new; I didn’t make samples of those yet so this is the first time I’m trying these out. So I thought I would just film in case you wanted a video on how to make these, and then I’ll get a chance to double check that everything looks good. You can also score if you want to, if you’d like your folds to be a little more precise. I don’t find it to be totally necessary with these because they’re so straightforward but it’s up to you if you like straight fold lines right where you want them.
Love it oh I love that it’s very dramatic–
These teal papers are also– I’ve been matching them up together with the steampunk Alice themed things and it actually works very well; it goes nicely with those images so if you’re interested in doing that in a journal that is actually a separate download in my Etsy shop; it’s the Faded Teals papers and there’s 12 papers in those kind of vintagey teals and golds you can put together with these Alice printables as well, but I am also planning on working on some papers to go with these so that you will have ultimately everything that you need to put together a really stunning steampunk Alice junk journal from mostly or entirely my kits if you want. I really like that too.
and then so I’m gonna I’m gonna go ahead and ink one of these up and put it together for you even though I think it’s pretty straightforward just so you can see all the details. I just go ahead and ink; you’re not actually going to see the whole edge on one of these but–
and then I’m gonna also do around Alice to make sure we have those dramatic dark edges — I know you can’t see my phone’s not super perfect there but I’m okay with that — so I’m just gonna put that one on top because I like that cover up that edge it looks kind of nice my glue is a mess I’m just gonna glue down this line and it’s really a thin line here you don’t need to get too far and then this guy down here just along his edge — oh I love that — this guy could get some stamping and that would be really cool actually.
That makes me want to do it; there’s a particular stamp that I’ve been using a lot lately that has been turning out absolutely beautiful. If I can find it! and you know how that is with my craft desk I thought it was here somewhere — I don’t know where it is, maybe if I can find one of the others and that seems that, but I think it’s– oh here he is yep yep yep yep two of them all right let’s try this I think I want this one um Versafine is an ink that Sky Bambi on Instagram recommended to me for stamping specifically that tends to work very well it’s a little better. Distressing are great for distressing but not necessarily the best for stamping all the time.
I love that I kind of want more but it’s not big enough.
I think I’ll leave it not overdo it; okay so then we have the Red Queen who goes in here. I actually also usually ink up both this top edge of the inside as well as I like this guy inked too I just think that looks nicer with the creases.
Oh I’m loving this, you guys!
That’s the steampunk Alice coin envelopes; you should be able to find the link down in the description right to get my Etsy shop to download them. Thank you so much for watching!
